ABOUT ME
Renee Simone is a performance artist based in Bloomington Indiana. She is currently a junior studying acting at Indiana University with a minor in African American and African Diaspora Studies. She has performed since the young age of seven years old with her first performance being Cinderella Jr.
Renee also participates in the IU Soul Revue as a vocalist. The IU Soul Revue is a band/class that has been performing popular black music for over 50 years. Being a part of this ensemble perfectly combines Renee's love of black culture and performing.
​ Continuing her performance endeavors, Renee is featured as vocalist in the band Yours Truly, performing her favorite songs with some of her closest friends.
Next up for Renee will be studying drama at Kent University in Canterbury, England
